'Arthur Fowler' project - The Roses Brief

I decided to work on the 'Arthur Fowler' brief for the Roses awards, I wanted to create an animation as I hadn't done one yet. The emphasis of the brief was to rid the Arthur Fowler image of the allotment and promote having your own outdoor space, seeing space as more as a sanctuary. I wanted to create something with texture and with an illustrated look. I wanted to inject humour into my animation too.
I really enjoyed working on this brief, my idea came quite quickly, I enjoyed the fun concept. Although I worked in my sketchbook my work developed as I started to animate, I learnt new skills such as masking in motion. I enjoyed working with Photoshop, Illustrator, Motion and Final Cut as a package. I used my creative skills in drawing and painting for my media. This project has inspired me to work more in this way.
